What's included?
This is your opportunity to immerse yourself in the design world of reigning Interflora World Champion, Bart Hassam. A 5-hour world class masterclass, lecture and hands-on design experience.
Lunch is provided and you will also have time to explore the Competition area. All flowers and sundries are supplied, just bring along your basic florist toolbox and be prepared to be inspired. Tickets are very limited to ensure a quality experience. Attendees will need to have a basic level of floristry experience to attend this hands-on experience.
Bart Hassam
Bart is a world-renowned floral designer, demonstrator and lecturer who regularly travels the world teaching and sharing his passion for his particular style of floral engineering. He is the reigning Interflora World Champion, having represented Australia at Philadelphia in 2019. Bart has a background in commercial floristry, floral art, sogetsu ikebana and European design and spent several years of his formative training working and studying in Japan. The aesthetic influence this has had on his design style cannot be understated.
Bart is regularly commissioned to produce large-scale floral installations for flower shows, exhibitions and individual pieces of floral design for media publication. He also takes commissions for pieces of nature-based sculpture for private homes and interior design companies. Bart has a particular love for teaching the finer points of high-end floral design. He is the co-owner of Maison Fleur Floral Design, a boutique floral design studio in the heart of Brisbane. Bart has been awarded Interflora Australian Florist of the Year five times as well as being an Asia Cup champion.
